start by:a) remove crankshaft pulley and hub 1. Remove crankshaft front seal (1) with tool (A).Install Crankshaft Front Seal (D330C, D333C, 3304 & 3306 Industrial Engines)
1. Install crankshaft front seal with tooling (A) as follows: a) Put clean engine oil on the lip of the seal and on outside diameter of crankshaft.b) Put 7F2770 Cement on the outside diameter of seal.c) Put the seal in position on crankshaft with lip of seal toward the oil being sealed. d) Put the seal installer ring (1) and pusher plate (2) in position on the crankshaft.e) Install the bolt (3) and washer (4).f) Tighten bolt (3) until plate (2) makes contact with end of crankshaft.2. Remove tooling (A).end by: a) install crankshaft pulley and hubRemove Crankshaft Front Seal (D330C, D333C, 3304 & 3306 Marine Engines)
start by: a) remove vibration damper and pulley 1. Remove crankshaft seal with tool (A).Install Crankshaft Front Seal (D330C, D333C, 3304 & 3306 Marine Engines)
1. Install the crankshaft front seal with tooling (A) as follows: a) Put clean engine oil on the lip of the seal and the outer edge of the crankshaft. Put 8M5059 Loctite Sealant on the outer edge of the seal. Put the seal in position on the crankshaft with the lip of the seal toward the rear of the engine. b) Put the seal installer ring (1) and pusher plate (2) in position on the crankshaft. Install the bolt (3) and washer (4).c) Tighten the bolt (3) until seal is fitted in the timing gear cover. Remove tooling (A).end by: a) install vibration damper and pulley
