Align the grooves in inserts (5) with the bolt holes in the major bogie. Install inserts (5) in the major bogie.

Note: The hole in the idler shaft must be away from the major bogie when idler (1) is installed.
Attach a suitable lifting device to idler (1). The weight of idler (1) is approximately 1250 kg (2756 lb). Position idler (1) .
Align pins (4) in caps (3) with the hole in the idler shaft. Put caps (3) in position on the major bogie.Note: Tighten the two lower bolts before tightening the upper bolt.
Apply Tooling (A) to bolts (2). Install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 2200 200 N m (1623 148 lb ft).End By: Connect the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Connect".
