The Brake relief valve is located on the Brake Manifold next to the Brake Accumulators on the right side of the machine.
Test the relief valve by using a hydraulic flow bench. The relief valve should be set to 22500 345 kPa (3263 50 psi).
Lower all of the work tools to the ground.
Lower all of the work tools and the stabilizers to the ground.
Stop the engine.
Move the steering frame lock to the Locked position.
Turn the key to the ON position and move all of the control levers to all of the positions. This action will release the system pressure.
Turn the key to the OFF position.
Depress the brake pedal a minimum of 100 times to relieve pressure in the brake accumulators before cracking any lines open.
Remove the relief valve that will be tested.

Secure 439-2206 Manifold (1) in a suitable holding device
Install two 030-8370 Adapters (3) and two 1P-2375 Couplers (4) in 1U-5216 Manifold (1).
Attach two 1P-2376 Adapters (5) to two 8F-0024 Hose Assemblies (6).
Install relief valve (2) in 439-2206 Manifold (1).
Connect two 8F-0024 Hose Assemblies (6), two 3B-7722 Bushings, and 7J-8611 Street Ell to 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump.
Connect 8T-0860 Gauge to 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump.
Turn the 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump to the ON position. Check for leaks at the connection.
The 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump only has a 7.6 L (2 US gal) reservoir. Pump damage may result if the pump is operated with an empty reservoir.
Slowly increase the pressure. Record the pressure, when the line relief valve opens. Compare this pressure to Table 1
Stop the pump.
If the relief valve is within the specification, then go to Step 19. If the relief valve is not within the specification, then and go to "Brake Relief Valve - Adjust".
Remove relief valve (2).
Install a new O-ring on the relief valve (2).
Install the relief valve to a torque of 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft). Brake Relief Valve - Adjust

Loosen the locknut (2). Turn adjusting screw (3) clockwise in order to increase the pressure. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure. When the correct pressure is reached, install the relief valve (1) with a new O-ring. The proper installation torque is 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).
