Installation Procedure

Note: During assembly, install a washer between the valves and the mounting block at the locations of the bolts. This will relieve the stress in the valve body.
Install automatic retarder brake valve (4), two clips (3), four washers, bolt (2), and bolt (1) .Note: Before installation, apply 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to the O-ring seals.Note: Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace any O-ring seals that are worn or damaged.
Install two O-ring seals (13) and two connectors (8) .Note: Before installation, apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the external tapered threads.
Install fitting assembly (9) .
Connect hose assemblies (10), (11), and (12) .
Connect electrical connections (5), (6), and (7) .Note: During installation, replace the straps.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting with an External Air Supply" in order to refill the air tank.End By: Install the compartment cover at the front of the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Plate (Cab Front) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
