Hood Tilt

Hood lock in the Open PositionPower Operation
The engine hood must be raised for access to the engine compartment. The toggle switch that activates the engine hood is located on the right side of the machine at the rear.
Open the access door. The access door is located on the right rear side of the machine.

Note: If the above tag is located on the switch, move the hood lock before you raise the hood.
Pull out on the toggle switch (1). Move the toggle switch upward in order to raise the engine hood. Raise the engine hood to the desired height, and release the toggle switch. The toggle switch will return to the neutral position.

Storage location for the tilt cylinder brace
The tilt cylinder brace is located under the hood on the right side at the rear of the machine.
Raise the hood far enough in order to install the brace on the cylinder.
Remove the locking pin for the brace.
Install the tilt cylinder brace on the hydraulic cylinder.
Install the locking pin on the brace.
Raise the hood in order to remove the tilt cylinder brace. Store the tilt cylinder brace in the storage location under the hood.
Pull out on the toggle switch (1). Move the toggle downward in order to close the engine hood. Close the engine hood, and release the toggle switch. The toggle switch will return to the neutral position.Manual Operation
The engine hood can be raised manually, and the engine hood can be lowered manually. The manual control is located under the access cover at the rear of the machine on the left side.
Lift the rear access cover on the left side of the machine.

Pull out knob (2) and turn knob (2) to the left or right in order to raise the hood. Insert handle (3) into hand pump (1). Operate the hand pump in order to raise the hood to a sufficient height.

Storage location for the tilt cylinder brace
The tilt cylinder brace is located under the hood on the right side at the rear of the machine.
Raise the hood far enough in order to install the brace on the cylinder.
Remove the locking pin for the brace.
Install the tilt cylinder brace on the hydraulic cylinder.
Install the locking pin on the brace.
Raise the hood in order to remove the tilt cylinder brace. Store the tilt cylinder brace in the storage location under the hood.
Turn knob (2) back to the original position and operate the hand pump in order to lower the hood.
