The new bolts are tightened to a torque of 43 7 N m (32 5 lb ft). This will prevent loose bolts, which can cause a large amount of damage if the pulley comes off.Adaptable As: Direct replacement. The new 308535 Self Locking Bolts and 5M2894 Hard Washers can be installed in place of the former S509 Bolts to hold the fan drive pulley on all earlier machines. Tighten the new bolts to 43 7 N m (32 5 lb ft) torque. If there has been a failure of the former bolts, carefully inspect the coupling to be sure the threads are not damaged before the new bolts are installed.
