Use Tooling (G) and a suitable torque wrench to measure rolling torque. The rolling torque must be no less than 3 N m (27 lb in) and no more than 10 N m (89 lb in). Add or remove shims to achieve the correct rolling torque.

Install remaining bolts (23) and washers (24). Apply Tooling (F) onto lip seals (26) and (29). Use Tooling (H) to install lip seals (26) and (29) to the orientation noted in the removal.

Install spacer (22).
Slowly align the rear frame and front frame of the machine.

Install pin (21) until pin (21) stops onto the shoulder of the bearings. If necessary, cool pin (21) to −78° 5°C (−140° 9°F).

Install bolts (14), washers (13), and plate (12). Do not install shims (11) now.

Position plate (20). Apply Tooling (E) to bolts (19) and install. Tighten bolts (19) to a torque of 65 5 N m (48 4 lb ft).

Install plug (18) and tighten to a torque of 140 15 N m (103 11 lb ft).
Ensure spacer (22) is seated onto the rear frame.
Position locking plate (16). Install bolt (15).
Install bolt (17) and tighten to a torque of 160 10 N m (118 7 lb ft) to secure plug (18).

Remove bolts (14), washer (13), and plate (12).
Measure the gap between the bottom of the pin and frame surface. Install shims (11) of 0.25 mm (0.01inch) less than the measured gap.
Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of bolts (14). Position measured shims (11) and plate (12). Install bolts (14) and washers (13). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 65 5 N m (48 4 lb ft).

Install pin (10). If necessary, cool pin (10) to −78° 5°C (−140° 9°F). Install bolt (9) and the washer.
Lubricate both hitch joints before articulating the machine.

Remove the lift truck from the rear of the machine.

Remove Tooling (B) from the front of the machine. Remove Tooling (C) from the rear of the machine.

Position steering cylinders (1) and install pin assemblies (3). Install retaining rings (2).
Connect parking brake cable assembly (8) and connect harness assembly (7).
Position hose assemblies (5) and install necessary clips (6).
Connect hose assemblies (5) to either the loader frame or rear frame.
If necessary, install cable straps (4) that were removed.End By:
Install the drive shaft.
Install the cab.
