Conveyors Drag Chain Tension Check

Check the tension of the conveyor drag chains (1). There are four conveyor drag chains on the machine. Under normal conditions, the chain must rest on the supporting slides under the chain and the unsupported parts should sag slightly. See the illustration below.
Illustration 2 g03329936Visually check the conveyor belt chains and check the amount of slack in the chains.
Illustration 3 g06021818Use the following procedure to adjust the conveyor drag chain tension:
Turn OFF the machine.
Loosen locking nuts (3).
Adjust the tension by turning bolt (2).
Tighten locking nuts (3).Drag Bars
Illustration 4 g03329948The corners of new drag bars are square. As the drag bars wear, the thickness become smaller. When the material transfer performance issignificantly reduced, the drag bars should be replaced.Auger Conveyor
