Install O-ring seal (18) on the retarder and bearing cage (17).

Typical Example
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the retarder and bearing cage (17). The weight of the retarder and bearing cage (17) is approximately 363 kg (800 lb). Position the retarder and bearing cage (17) onto the machine.

Install bolts (16) to the retarder and bearing cage (17).

Connect tube assembly (15).

Connect hose assemblies (11), and (12). Install clip (14). Install screen assembly (13) and hose assembly (13A).

Connect harness assembly (9) and hose assemblies (8) and (10).

Connect hose assemblies (6) and (7).

Use two people to position tube assembly (5). The weight of tube assembly (5) is approximately 24 kg (52 lb). Install bolts (4).
Fill the transfer gear case with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubrication Viscosities and Refill Capacities".

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hood (3). The weight of hood (3) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Install hood (3).

Install bolts (2). Install hose (1).
Refill the fuel tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubrication Viscosities and Refill Capacities".End By:
Install the scavenge pump and mounting (flywheel).
