(1) To check the retract relief valve adjustment, connect the pump hose with the pressure gauge to opening (A). Connect the other hose to opening (B). Put the cylinder rod in the fully retracted position. Operate the pump to send pressure oil to opening (A). The gauge reading should be 6200 200 psi (42880 1380). To adjust the pressure, release the pressure from the cylinder and remove plug (C). Turn the screw behind plug (C), clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure. Hold a cover over the opening and operate the pump to check the pressure setting.(2) To check the retract hold valve adjustment, connect the hose without the gauge to opening (A). Use the 6V1389 Connector and 6V1390 Coupling with a 4J7533 O-ring to connect the pump hose with the gauge to opening (D). Operate the pump to send pressure oil to opening (D). Check the gauge; the pressure should be 5500 100 psi (3800 690). To adjust the pressure, loosen the locknut and turn the screw in valve (E) clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.(3) To check the cylinder rod extend relief valve, connect the pump hose with the gauge to opening (B) and connect the other hose to opening (A). With the cylinder rod fully extended, operate the pump to send pressure oil to opening (B). Check the gauge; the pressure should be 4000 200 psi (27580 1380). To adjust the pressure, release the pressure from the cylinder. Remove plug (F). Turn the screw behind the plug clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure. Hold a cover over the hole where plug (F) was removed and operate the pump to check the pressure setting.(4) To check the extend hold relief valve, use the 6V1389 Connector and 6V1390 Coupling to connect the hose with the gauge to opening (G) and connect the other hose to opening (B). Operate the pump to send pressure oil to opening (G). Check the gauge; the pressure should be 3200 200 psi (22000 1380). To adjust the pressure, loosen the locknut and turn the screw in valve (H) clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.Parts Needed
