1. Drain the oil from the engine. 2. Use tool (A) to remove oil filter (4).3. Disconnect wire (1) from oil pressure switch.4. Remove bolts (2). Remove oil filter base (3).Install Oil Filter Base
1. Install a new gasket (2).2. Put oil filter base (1) in position. Install the bolts that hold it. 3. Connect oil pressure switch wire (3).4. Put a small amount of clean engine oil on the filter element gasket.5. Install filter element (4) by hand. Tighten filter element until the gasket makes contact with the oil filter base. Tighten filter element 3/4 turn more.6. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.Disassemble Oil Filter Base

Cover (1) is under spring pressure.
1. Remove bolts evenly. Remove cover (1).2. Remove spring and plunger from under cover.3. Remove oil pressure switch (3).4. Remove cover (2) and gasket.
