1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank.2. Remove two bolts (1) from the cover, and install two 3/8"-16 NC guide pins in their place.3. Remove the remainder of the bolts from the cover. Use two persons to remove cover (2) from the hydraulic tank. Weight of cover is 27 kg (60 lb.). Inspect the gasket on the cover. 4. Remove cotter pin (3) and pin (4) to disconnect links (5). 5. Disconnect linkage (6), and remove four bolts (7). 6. Remove hydraulic control linkage (8) from the hydraulic tank.Install Hydraulic Control Linkage
1. Put hydraulic control linkage (1) in position in the hydraulic tank with the bolts that hold it. 2. Connect linkage (2). 3. Connect links (3) to the control linkage with the pin and cotter pin. 4. Install two 3/8"-16 NC guide pins (5) in the hydraulic tank.5. Install a new gasket on the cover if necessary. Use two persons to install cover (4) on the hydraulic tank.6. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.Disassemble Hydraulic Control Linkage
START BY:a. remove hydraulic control linkage 1. Remove bolt (1) and the nut from the lever assembly. 2. Remove lever assembly (3) with two links (2) from the shaft and key. 3. Remove key (6) from the shaft, and remove washers (5) and adapter (4). 4. Remove housing (7) and spacer (9) from shaft lever assembly (8). Remove and inspect the gasket in the housing. Make a replacement if it is damaged. 5. Inspect lip-type seal (10). Remove and make a replacement if needed. 6. Inspect two bearings (11) which are in each end of the housing. Remove and make replacements if needed.Assemble Hydraulic Control Linkage
Push only on the surface of the bearing that has identification.1. Use a press and tooling (B) to install the bearings in each end of housing (1). Put SAE 10W oil on the seal before it is installed in housing (1).2. Use a press and tooling (A) to install the lip-type seal in the housing. Install the seal even with the bearing in the respective side of the housing. The lip of the seal must be toward the inside of the housing. 3. Put spacer (3) and housing (1) into position on shaft and lever assembly (2). 4. Put adapter (5) and washers (4) on the shaft. 5. Install key (7) in the shaft, and put lever assembly (6) into position on the shaft and key.6. Install a bolt and nut to hold lever assembly (6) in place.END BY:a. install hydraulic control linkage
