Move the seat cushion forward and up until the seat cushion comes away from the slide plate.

Remove the bolt in the recliner handle using an allen wrench. Free the cable from the handle.

Use an appropriate tool in order to compress the loaded latch to remove the recliner cable from the latch. Compressing the loaded latch gives the lower hole enough clearance to remove the cable.

With the latch clamped open, install the new cable Z-fitting.

Unclamp the latch and hook the cable into the recliner handle.

Use a bolt with blue LocTite to secure the cable to the handle. Tighten until the latch begins to move away from the recliner gear, then back off a quarter turn.
Test the function of the recliner by pulling up on the handle. Using a pull scale on the recliner handle, test the force required to disengage the recliner gears. The force should not exceed 14 kg (30 lb).Adjustment for Recliner Handle

If the recliner handle is sticking, loosen the two bolts on the middle recliner casting and break the latch free using the channel lock pliers. Allow the recliner latch to realign with the gear by cycling the back pan before retightening to 47.5 9.5 N m (35 7 lb ft).Installation of the Seat Cushion Assembly

Bring the seat cushion assembly to the slide plate and join the T feature to the window of the seat pan.

Reinstall the tilt rod, plastic washers, and pal nuts through the seat pan. Use a small socket on one end of the rod and a hammer on the other end to tap the pal nut onto the rod.

To install the springs on either side of the seat pan, make sure that the seat tilt is in the lowest position. Hook the top half of the spring through the hole in the seat pan. Using an appropriate tool, pull the spring down and hook the spring through the hole in the slide plate.

Route the Operator Present System out the back of the seat. Bring the wire under the recliner shaft. Secure the connector with a single tie wrap through the hole in the slide plate.
