Personal injury can result when using cleaner solvents.To help prevent personal injury, follow the instructions and warnings on the cleaner solvent container before using.
Personal injury or death can result from a fire.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Stop the machine. Shut off the engine.
Open the engine compartment.
Turn the engine control switch to the OFF position. Disconnect the batteries when you perform maintenance on the fuel filters.

Remove the fuel filter. Inspect the fuel filter for debris by cutting the filter open. Discard the filter properly.Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information that pertains to containing fluid spillage.
Clean the mounting base of the fuel filter. Remove any part of the old seal that remains on the mounting base of the fuel filter.
Coat the seal of the new fuel filter with clean diesel fuel.
Install the new fuel filter by hand. When the seal contacts the base, tighten the filter for an additional three quarters of a turn.
Prime the fuel system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime".
Start the engine and check for leaks.
Close the engine compartment.
