Information:
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

Illustration 2 g01345557Note: Lubricate the seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. (1) Torque for the piston is 525 25 N m (387 18 lb ft). (2) Use Tooling (E) to tighten the gland. Torque for the gland is 325 25 N m (240 18 lb ft). (3) Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of the setscrew. Torque for the setscrew is 23 3 N m (17 2 lb ft). (4) Lubricate bores with Tooling (D) prior to installation. Note: If necessary, the rod eye can be machined in order to install a bearing. The new bore size should be 50.780 .025 mm (1.999 0.001 inch). The bearing part number is 3K-2151.Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the
