Position the machine on level ground.
Stop the engine.
Install tooling (C) onto the fan to monitor the fan speed. Calibration Procedure
Monitor Procedure
Start the engine.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Place the machine controls at the following settings:
Engine speed dial "10"
AEC switch OFFRefer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Performance - Test (Engine Speed)" for engine rpm settings.
Enter the "Service" menu.
Enter password "9992".
Select "Calibrations" menu.
Select "Engine Cooling Fan Minimum Speed".
Set fan speed to 300 20 rpm.
Select "Engine Cooling Fan Maximum Speed".
Set fan speed to 1095 20 rpm

Start the engine.

Air Conditioning switch OffRefer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Performance - Test (Engine Speed)" for engine rpm settings.
Enter the "Reverse Fan Setting" menu.
Enter password "9992".

Follow the instructions in the monitor.
Ensure that the reverse fan performs the following procedure:
The engine and fan speed decrease.
After 20 seconds, the fan reverses.
After 1 minute, the engine and reverse fan speed return to max speed. Ensure that the reverse fan speed is 1095 50 rpm.
After 1 minutes, the engine and reverse fan speed decrease.
After an additional 20 seconds, the fan returns to normal rotation.
The test is finished after a total of approximately 1 minutes.
