The Operation And Maintenance Manual needs to be replaced. The manual is available in multiple languages. Replacement manuals should be ordered using the media number found in the top, right hand corner of the manual and will be in the form of SEBU7537 (English) and S_B_7537 for other languages (the second and fourth position varies according to the language).
If the decal 262-0580 is not already installed as shown in the image on the hose guard then please install as shown. Some of these affected serial numbers may already have the 262-0580 decal installed.

When ordering the Operation and Maintenance Manual, S_B_7537, the manual needs to be revision -03 or higher.
The new O&MM gives details for regular inspection of the lower frame area where the locking pins engage. Please point out this inspection detail at the time of handing over the new O&MM to the customer and/or operator. This O&MM covers all 3 models, the BH27, BH30 and BH30W.
Please remove and destroy the existing O&MM and install the new O&MM.

The original version of the Operation and Maintenance Manual has been updated to provide important Maintenance Interval information for the inspection of the backhoe attachment mounting frame assembly. The new Operation and Maintenance Manual provides important Maintenance Interval information about the inspection of the main mounting frame and that failure to follow the new instructions could lead to a use of the machine that might create a risk of personal injury or death. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
