Information:

1. Mark the position of link (1) in throttle slave cylinder (2). Remove bolt (3), nut and washers from throttle slave cylinder (2). Move link (1) aside.2. Disconnect hose assembly (4) from throttle slave cylinder (2).3. Remove two bolts (5), nuts and washers from throttle slave cylinder (2). Remove the throttle slave cylinder. The following steps are for the installation of the throttle slave cylinder.4. Position the throttle slave cylinder as shown. Install two bolts (5), nuts and washers in throttle slave cylinder (2).5. Connect hose assembly (4) to throttle slave cylinder (2).6. Align link (1) and throttle slave cylinder (2) as shown. Install bolt (3), nut and washers.7. Bleed the throttle slave cylinder. Refer to Remove the Air from (Bleed) the Throttle Slave Cylinder Hydraulic System, R1300 L.H.D. Hydraulic System, Systems Operation, Testing & Adjusting, Form No. RENR4611 (9EL9610).8. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to R1300 L.H.D. Operation & Maintenance Manual, Form No. SEBU7321 (9EL9617) for the correct filling procedure.End by:a. Remove steering frame lock pinDisassemble & Assemble Throttle Slave Cylinder
Start by:a. Remove throttle slave cylinder. 1. Mark for assembly purposes cover (1) and the cylinder body. Remove cover (1).
A spring force of 44.5 N (10 lb) will be released when the bolt that holds piston (6) is removed. Hold the components of the throttle slave cylinder to prevent unexpected movement of components and personal injury.
2. Remove the bolt that holds piston (6). Remove the piston and springs.3. Remove O-ring seal (2) and sleeve (5).4. Remove seals (3) and (4) from piston (6). The following steps are for the assembly of the throttle slave cylinder.5. Be sure all parts of the throttle slave cylinder are thoroughly clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly. Check the condition of all seals. If any of the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.6. Install lip seal (3) and "T" seal on piston (6). Install the lip seal with the lip facing the cylinder oil pressure source.7. Install sleeve (5) in the cylinder body. Put a thin coat of 5P-0960 Lubricant on the inside of the sleeve.8. Carefully install piston (6) and springs in the cylinder body.9. Install the bolt to hold the piston.10. Align marks and install O-ring seal (2) and cover (1).End by:a. Install throttle slave cylinder.
