Loosen clamp assembly (4). Remove clamp assemblies (1) and (3).
Disconnect tube assemblies (5) and remove the gaskets.
Disconnect tube assembly (4).
Remove nuts (2). Remove turbocharger (6) and the gasket. Installation Procedure
Install Turbocharger (6) in the reverse order of removal.
Replace the turbocharger gasket and nuts (2).

Lubricate the threads with Tooling (A). Tighten nuts (2) in a cross pattern to a torque of 70 5 N m (52 4 lb ft).
Complete the following steps when installing a new turbocharger and orientation of the housing is needed.

Loosen both clamp's (7) and (8) nuts only enough to rotate the housings. Note: Excessive loosening of the housings may cause damage to the turbocharger wheel.
Position turbine clamp (8) as shown in illustration 3 and tighten enough to prevent the clamp from moving.
Position the compressor housing outboard from the engine vertical to the air inlet.
Position compressor clamp (7) on the outboard side of the turbocharger facing downward.
Tighten compressor clamp (7) to a torque of 13 1 N m (115 9 lb in).
Tighten turbine clamp (8) to a torque of 18 2 N m (160 18 lb in). Loosen then Re-tighten turbine clamp (8) to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
