Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
After installing the latest Cat® Object Detection software, Object Detection sensors still generate false detections or erroneous blockage events on machines that are listed above.Solution
Turn off the power to Object Detection sensor. Remove the enclosure cover of the Object Detection sensor enclosure to eliminate false sensor detections and erroneous blockage events.Perform the following procedure to eliminate false sensor detections and erroneous blockage events:Note: Power to the Object Detection should be turned on for the following steps.
Install the latest version of Object Detection software.
Check the functionality of the system.
If after setting the correct angles, the system continues to exhibit one of the following issues:
The sensor exhibits 4 bar or 5 bar (Critical and Stop zone) detections when in NEUTRAL and there is no object in the sensors path.
When in gear, the sensor generates a 5 bar (Stop zone) detection or a blockage event and there is no object in the sensors path.

(2) Object Detection sensor with enclosure cover (3) Object Detection sensor without enclosure cover
Remove the enclosure cover of the Object Detection sensor enclosure generating the issue.
If removing the enclosure cover stops the false detections or erroneous blockage events, the sensor enclosure should be replaced. The system can be operated without the enclosure cover until a replacement is available.
