Introduction
This instruction gives the procedure for proper installation of the above voltage converter assemblies.Installation
1. Use a 3T1796 Harness Assembly to connect the 9G6981 or 7T8000 Converter to a fused 24 volt source.2. Use a circuit fused for 5 - 15 amps. This fuse is only to protect the 3T1796 Harness. The converters have their own built in protection. 3. Mount the appropriate converter on any flat surface that is NOT in the engine compartment. Cab installation is preferred.4. Always mount the 9G6981 Converter with the cooling fins in a vertical plane. Mount the 7T8000 Converter in any convenient location.5. Connect 3T1796 Harness Assembly to connector (A) on converter (1).6. Connect the red wire (+24 volts) from 3T1796 Harness Assembly to the positive terminal on the fuse block or fuse holder (use 1P2305 Electrical Terminal Assortment).7. Connect the black wire (-) to a good electrical ground.8. Connect the other connector (B) on converter (1) to the electrical attachment with a 3T1794 Wire Assembly. The white/red wire is +12 volts and the white/black wire is the electrical ground.
