Information:
Service Brake Check
Note: The service brake air control valve activates the front brakes and the rear brakes.
Start the engine and allow the pressure to reach the cut-out pressure.
Move the parking brake control to the OFF position. Do not depress the secondary brake control.
Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position.
Depress the service brake control fully.
Move the transmission control to the second gear position.
Increase engine speed to 1200 rpm. The machine should not move.
If the machine moves, inspect the brake system for wear or for damage. Correct the air pressure. See the Systems Operation/Testing And Adjusting, "Braking System Troubleshooting".Parking Brake Check
Note: The parking brake air control valve activates all the wheel brakes.Note: This test should be conducted when the truck is loaded to the normal rated capacity.
Load the truck to the normal rated capacity.
Park the machine on a slope of no more than 15 percent.
Depress the service brake control.
Shift the transmission control to NEUTRAL.
Move the parking brake control to the ON position.
Release the service brake control. If the machine moves, see Systems Operation/Testing And Adjusting, "Braking System Troubleshooting".
Move the transmission control to the first gear position.
Increase engine speed to 1200 rpm. The machine should not move.
If the machine moves, inspect the brake system for wear or for damage. Correct the air pressure. See the Systems Operation/Testing And Adjusting, "Braking System Troubleshooting".Secondary Brake Check

Turn on the battery disconnect switch.
Start the engine.
The action alarm, the brake air pressure indicator and the action light for low air pressure will operate until the pressure is approximately 415 35 kPa (60 5 psi).
Allow the pressure to reach approximately 690 kPa (100 psi).
If the action alarm and/or action light do not operate, stop the engine.
Check the electrical connections for the action alarm, for the action light and for the pressure switches. Check the bulb for the action light.
If the connections are good, connect a digital multimeter across
