Removal Procedure
Note: This machine DOES NOT contain a battery disconnect switch.

Open access cover (1). Latch the cover into UP position.

Remove rubber terminal covers (2) .
Remove negative cable (4) and positive cable (3) from battery (5) .

Loosen nuts (6). Remove clamp (7) and rods (8) as a unit.
Remove battery (5) .Installation Procedure
Note: Thoroughly clean the battery cables and the mounting plate prior to the installation of the battery.Note: Replace the bolts of the battery cables if deterioration is noted.

Install the battery (5) in position. The positive terminal will be toward the REAR of the machine.
Install rods (8) and clamp (7) as a unit.Note: The Rods (8) must be rotated into position.
Tighten nuts (6) in order to secure battery (5) .

Install positive battery cable (3) and negative battery cable (4) .
Install rubber terminal covers (2) .

Release the latch and lower access cover (1) .
