PRIORITY - PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR REWORKING THE FILTER MOUNTING BRACKET ON CERTAIN D8T, D9T, AND D10T TRACK-TYPE TRACTORS
MODELS INVOLVED - D8T, D9T, and D10T Track-Type Tractors
Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
The existing enhanced filter-mounting bracket needs to be replaced on certain D8T, D9T, and D10T Track-Type Tractors. The bracket can cause poor sealing which allows dust entry into the cab. The poor sealing and dust can cause water drainage issues on certain D8T models. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 16Nov2007 when scheduling this service.
