When operating in freezing temperatures, use Caterpillar nonfreezing window washer solvent or equivalent. System damage can result from freezing.
The window washer reservoir is located in a compartment outside of the right-hand cab window. The level of window washer solvent in the reservoir can be seen without the need to open the compartment.

Window washer reservoir fluid level inspection slot
The level of window washer solvent in the reservoir can be seen in the inspection slot at the front of the compartment.Use the following procedure to add solvent to the window washer reservoir when necessary.

(1) Access door
(2) Window washer reservoir filler cap
Release access door (1) by turning the fasteners which are located at both ends of the access door. Then, swing the access door up and out to service the window washer reservoir.
Remove window washer reservoir filler cap (2). Fill the reservoir with window washer solvent.
Install the window washer reservoir filler cap.
Swing the access door back into position and secure the two fasteners that hold the access door in place.
