Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove" for the engine that is being serviced.
Personal injury can result from hot coolant, steam and alkali.At operating temperature, engine coolant is hot and under pressure. The radiator and all lines to heaters or the engine contain hot coolant or steam. Any contact can cause severe burns.Remove cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure only when engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not attempt to tighten hose connections when the coolant is hot, the hose can come off causing burns.Cooling System Coolant Additive contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system. Reference: For additional information about the cooling system, refer to System Operation, "Cooling System" for the engine that is being serviced.

Put identification on each wire and screw on the magneto. Remove wires (1) from the magneto.
Remove bolt (2) and the washer.

Remove tube assembly (3) from the exhaust manifold.

Disconnect wire (4) on the instrument panel.
Remove spark plug wires (5).

Remove bolts (7) that hold transformers (6) in place.
Remove the transformers and wiring as a unit.

Remove bolts (9) and the washers that hold tube assembly (8) in place. Disconnect tube (8) from the exhaust manifold.

Install Tooling (A) in the exhaust manifold, as shown. Fasten a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to the eyebolt, as shown.
Remove bolts (11). Use a suitable lifting device and a lifting sling in order to remove exhaust manifold (10) and the gaskets. The weight of the exhaust manifold is approximately 29 kg (65 lb).
