Information:

Personal injury or death can result from escaping fluid under pressure.Escaping fluid under pressure, even a very small pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue and cause serious injury and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.
Probable Causes
The control valve and the valve spool have excessive wear. There may be dirt or the return spring may be broken.
A piston seal in a cylinder has excessive wear.
There is a leak between the control valve and the cylinder that has drifted.
A check valve is not closing because of dirt or because of a worn seat.
The control valve is not centering correctly.
The lever position sensor is faulty.Recommended Actions
Note: Care must be taken in order to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. You must be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component that contains fluid. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations. The Control Valve And The Valve Spool Have Excessive Wear. There May Be Dirt Or The Return Spring May Be Broken

Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Operational Checks (Hydraulic System)" in this manual. There Is A Leak Between The Control Valve And The Cylinder That Has Drifted
Leaks at fittings and other types of hydraulic line connections can cause loss of oil flow and prevent components from attaining pressures necessary to perform work. Pressure losses generate complaints of weak force and implements drifting while in the HOLD condition. Check for leaks at all fittings and connections of hydraulic oil hoses/lines/tubes in the system in question. Correct any problems that are found, then retest for the system.A Check Valve Is Not Closing Because Of Dirt Or Because Of A Worn Seat.
Ensure the machine is on a level surface.
LOWER the blade all the way in order to raise the machine off of the ground.
Move the implement control handle to the HOLD position.
Shut off the engine. Watch the lift cylinder rods for movement (cylinder rods retracting).Note: If the makeup valve is sticking and not operating freely, there can be a pause in movement at the ground when lowering the blade. If the makeup valve leaks, "Down Pressure" may be weak. In the extreme, the implement may move UP, from external forces, with the control valve in the HOLD position. The Control Valve Is Not Centering Correctly
Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Calibration" in this manual. The Lever Position Sensor Is Faulty
