This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4440" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Certain Challenger 35, 45, and 55 Tractors were assembled with service brake bleed screw seats, which may have been machined incorrectly at the tapered surface, which seals against the brake bleeder screw. Fluid leakage could result. Correct bleed screw seats and new bleed screws need to be installed.

1. Move tractor to level surface. Apply parking brake.2. Remove the existing service brake bleed screw/seat assembly (part of the 1042262 Brake Lines Group) at the top of the center housing on either side of the tractor. Discard the removed parts.3. Install a 3J1907 O-Ring Seal on each replacement 1138534 Brake Bleed Screw Seat.4. Loosely assemble a 1138532 Brake Bleed Screw into each seat.5. Install the replacement seats into the lines group. Tighten each seat to 16-18 lb-ft (22-25 N m) torque minimum.6. Bleed the service brake system per the procedure outlined on page 67 of the Challenger 35, Challenger 45, and Challenger 55 Agricultural Tractors Undercarriage, Steering, and Brakes Systems Operation, Testing & Adjusting service manual module (Form Number SENR8307-02).
