(11) Tool holder blockThe new bits shall be installed with a new hydraulic press system. See referenced special instruction for further details. The press provides a consistent and high level of seating force. The high seating force, combined with the improvements to diamond bit shank compliance will result in the highest level of contact at the shank / bore interface. This will provide improved load distribution through the interface and improve service life of the tool holder blocks.Note: Hammering the bits into place is not recommended as this can loosen bits already installed and can provide inconsistent seating of the bit.The hydraulic press assembly and operating instructions are provided in Special Instruction , M0071388 , "Assembly Instructions For The Diamond Bit And Carbide Tool Holder Installer Tool".
