Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Raise the engine hood.

Loosen the hydraulic tank breather (1) in order to relieve system pressure.

Locate hydraulic oil drain tube (2) which is located on the left side of the machine near the rotor service door.
Remove the drain plug from the hydraulic oil drain tube (2). Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container. Install the drain plug to the hydraulic oil drain tube (2) .
Fill the hydraulic tank with clean oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities".
Start the engine. Run at a low idle for several minutes. Check for leaks. Check the hydraulic oil level. If necessary, add oil.
Close the engine hood.
