Engine: 3176B (S/N: 9CK1-UP; 3LZ1-UP) C-10 (S/N: 2PN1-UP) C-12 (S/N: 1YN1-UP)The brackets are adaptable to the above truck engines back to first production. See Table 1 for adaptability. Also, the remanufactured 3176B engine will use the same part number for the 3176B engine in Table 1. The part number for the remanufactured engine is 0R-9120.The installer may wish to change to the new compressor brackets which were made available for the 3176B. The new bracket for the former bracket is listed in Table 1.

(1) Bolts to the head (2) Bracket (3) Bolts to the housing for the compressor
Align the mounting face with the cylinder head and the front of the housing.
Finger tighten bolts (1) and bolts (3) .
Torque bolts (3) to the standard torque.
Loosen bolts (1) in order to relieve any stress in the front housing.
Torque bolts (1) to the standard torque.Note: When you assemble bracket (2) to the 3176B engine some modifications may be necessary on the hardware from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Installation of the new bracket will require disassembly of the fuel manifold and the installation will require changing a fitting for the coolant line.
