Damage to the car body guide on the track roller frame can result if the track is raised more than 60 mm (2.4 inch) off the ground, with the car body bolts removed.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Extend the track frames one at a time.
Stop the engine.

(6) Corks Note: If the tracks have never been extended before, remove the 16 corks that are in bolt holes (6). There are eight corks installed on the side with the idler and eight corks installed on the side with the final drive.
Remove 14 bolts (3) and 14 spacers (4). The bolts hold track frame (2) to carbody (1). Note: Seven bolts (3) and 7 spacers (4) are installed on the side with the idler and seven bolts (3) and 7 spacers (4) are installed on the side with the final drive.Note: When track frame (2) is moved in order to extend the overall width, do not loosen two bolts (5) that are for the track guide.

Start the engine. Position the boom over the opposite track frame with the stick at an approximate 80 degree angle to the ground. Place the bucket teeth into the ground, as shown. This machine position provides the best stability for extending the track frames.
Apply a downward pressure with the boom in order to slightly raise the track.

Use the STICK IN position to extend the track frame by moving the carbody away from the track.
After the track frame has been correctly extended, lower the raised track frame to the ground.
Align the bolt holes of carbody (1) and track frame (2). Install 22 bolts (3) and 22 spacers (4). If necessary, slowly operate the machine back and forth until the bolt holes are aligned. Tighten the bolts to 2800 350 N m (2065 258 lb ft).

Install two plates (8) with 4 bolts (6) and 4 washers (7) to protect non-used threads (A). Note: One plate (8) and 2 bolts (6) and 2 washers
