1. Turn valve (1) for the fuel supply to the "OFF" position. The location of the fuel valve is on the bottom of the fuel tank. 2. Loosen nut (2). Remove case assembly (3) and the element from the cover.3. Remove the snap ring, retainer and spring from the case.4. Remove the gasket from the cover.Install Primary Fuel Filter
1. Install a new gasket (2) in cover (1).2. Install spring (6) and retainer (4) in the case. Install snap ring (5).3. Put a new element (3) in the case assembly. 4. Put the element and case assembly in position on the cover. Tighten nut (7) to a torque of 18 3 lb. ft. (24.4 4.1 N m).5. Turn the valve for the fuel supply to the "ON" position.
