1. Disconnect the governor cable (3) at the tank end.2. Put governor lever (4) in low idle position as shown.3. Adjust the length of rod (1) so distance between the center of the pins for the rod is 5.08 in. (129 mm).4. With the lever (4) and handle (5) in the position shown, adjust the clevis on cable (3) and connect the clevis to the lever.
TRANSMISSION AND GOVERNOR CONTROL LINKAGE

Be sure the operator can shut the engine off when handle (5) is turned counterclockwise.

When tests are made in a closed area, activate the brakes and use blocks to prevent machine movement during the tests. Let only approved personnel on the machine. Keep other personnel off the machine and in view of the operator.
All test and adjustments must be made with the oil in the power train hydraulic system at normal temperature for operation. Be sure the linkage adjustments are correct before the tests are made.

Do not make any adjustments to the control linkage with engine running.

1. Disconnect cable assembly (1) from the lever.2. Disconnect cable assembly (2) from the lever.3. Move direction selector spool (3) to the FORWARD position against stop (4) by pulling out on cable assembly (1).4. Move speed selector spool (5) to the NEUTRAL position against stop (6) by pushing in on cable assembly (2).

1. Cable assembly (direction). 2. Cable assembly (speed).
SELECTOR AND PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE
3. Direction selector. 4. Stop. 5. Speed selector spool. 6. Stop.5. Check length of cable assemblies inside housing (11) as shown. Make adjustments if needed. Dimension (A) must be 3.75 in. (95 mm).6. Move the transmission lock lever to the ON position (pushed down). Move transmission selector lever
