7. Remove bearings (15) and rod (16) from lever (14). 8. Remove two bolts (17) and remove bracket (18). 9. Remove retaining ring (19) and lever (20). 10. Remove bearings (21) and rod (22) from lever (20). 11. Remove retaining ring (23), lever assembly (24), spring and washer. 12. Remove bearings (25) from lever assembly (24). 13. Remove four bolts (26) and solenoids (27). 14. Put identification on cams (28) so they will be installed in the correct location. Loosen bolts (27) and remove cams (28) from the shafts. 15. Put identification on cover (30) as to its position on the pilot control valve. Remove bolt (29) and cover (30). 16. Remove plugs (31) from the cover. 17. Use a hammer and punch to remove pins (32) from the shafts. 18. Remove shafts (33), actuators (34) and washers (35) from the cover. Remove the setscrews from actuators (34) if a replacement is necessary. 19. Remove bearings (36) and seals (37) from the cover. 20. Remove O-ring seals (38) and (39) from the valve body. The valve stems in locations (44) and (45) are different. The valve stems in locations (44) are longer. Put identification on the valve stems as to their location in the valve body.
Sleeves (41) are under spring pressure. Hold the sleeves so the spring pressure is released slowly to prevent injury when the sleeves are removed.
21. Remove jam nuts (40), sleeves (41), valve stems (43) and springs (42) from the valve body. Remove the plungers from the sleeves. 22. Pull retainer (46) back and remove retainer (47) from the valve stem. Remove retainer (46) and spring (48) from the valve stem. Disassemble the other valve stems the same way. 23. Remove fitting (49) from the valve body. 24. Remove retainer (50) and screen (51) from the valve body.Assemble Pilot Control Valve & Linkage
Put clean oil on all valve parts, bearings, lip type seals and O-ring seals during assembly. 1. Install screen (1) and retainer (2) in the valve body. 2. Be sure the O-ring seal is in position on fitting (3) and install the fitting in the valve body. Use spacers (6) as needed to get a preload of 15.0 2.5 N (3.5 .6 lb) on springs (4) when the unit is assembled.3. Install spring (4), retainer (5), spacer (6) and retainer (7) on valve stem (8) as shown. Assemble the remainder of the valve stems the same way. 4. Install springs (10) and valve stem assemblies (8) in valve body (9) in their original positions. Install plungers (11) in sleeves (12) as shown. Install sleeves (12) 5 1 turns into the valve body. Install jam nuts (13) but do not tighten until after the adjustment of the sleeves.5. Install valve body (9) on the cab platform and adjust sleeves (12).
