2. Remove eight bolts (4) that secure the lower end of hydraulic hoses (2) to the supply lines. 3. Remove eight bolts (1) that secure the upper end of hoses (2) to cylinder (3). Remove the hoses from the cylinder. 4. Attach a lifting strap and a hoist to cylinder (3), as shown. Remove four bolts (5) that secure caps (6) to yoke (7). Remove caps (6) from cylinder (3) and yoke (7). Carefully remove cylinder (3) from yoke (7). The weight of cylinder (3) is 234 kg (515 lb). 5. Remove bearing sleeve (9) from both caps (6). Remove two bearing sleeves (8) from cylinder (3). 6. Attach a lifting strap and a hoist to yoke (7), as shown.7. Remove bolts and washers (10) that secure cover and gasket (11) to yoke housing (13) and remove the cover and gasket.8. Install a bolt in pin (12) and remove the pin from yoke housing (13).9. Remove yoke (7) from housing (13). The weight of yoke (7) is 79 kg (174 lb). 10. Remove lip seal (14) from yoke housing (13). 11. Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing sleeve (15) from yoke housing (13). 12. Use Tooling (A) to remove bearing sleeve (16) from yoke housing (13). Install the blade lift cylinder the reverse order of removal.13. Install bearing sleeve (16) with 1P-0510 driver group.14. Install bearing sleeve (15) with 1P-0520 driver group.15. Grease the yoke assembly at the grease zerk on the back side of the yoke housing with 1P-0808 NLGI all purpose grease. See "shimming" procedure in this publication for proper shimming procedure. Refer to the Operation & Maintenance Manual for all fluid capacities and the proper filling procedures.16. Start By:a. remove blade lift cylinders Fluid Spillage ContainmentCare must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to "Tools And Shop Product Guide", NENG2500 for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines. Dispose fluids according to local regulations and mandates. 1. Remove and install the ring and the bearing in the cylinder as follows:a. Use Tooling (C) and a press to remove a ring, a bearing and a ring from the cylinder.b. Use Tooling (C) and a press. Install the ring with the edge of the bevel down. Install the ring until it is even with the outside surface.c. Turn the cylinder over. Use Tooling (C) and a press to install bearing (2) and ring (1). The ring must be installed with the edge of the bevel down even with the outside surface. 2. Remove the bolts and disconnect clips (4). Remove oil lines (3). 3. Install the cylinder on Tooling (A) as shown. Slowly extend and retract the cylinder rod to push
