ACTION REQUIRED
In order to prevent damage to the power cable, attach an L-Bracket and ladder clip to secure the cable in place.
Bracket sub-assembly
1. Using (1) 8T-4137 Bolt and (1) 8T-4121 Washer, assemble (1) 124-3019 L-Bracket and (1) 132-5789 Ladder Clip together.
2. Secure L-Bracket with the ladder clip on right side of the bracket. Tighten to 30 +/- 7 N-m. Refer to Image 2.
Bracket As Installation
1. Move battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Prepare the Machine for Maintenance".
2. Disconnect the red main power 308-2844 Cable Assembly from 241-8368 Magnetic Switch Asssembly.
3. Remove (1) 6V-7357 Bolt and (1) 9X-8256 Washer from outermost attachment boss for the switch assemble. Do not reuse the 9X-8256 Washer.
4. Attach the bracket sub assembly to the right side of the main switch using (1) 6V-7357 Bolt, and (1) 101-2867 Washer.
5. Reconnect the cable assembly to the magnetic swith assembly. Orient the cable so that it is looped downward toward the cab floor. Tighten the nut to 6 +/- 0.5 N-m.
6. Rest the bracket assembly against the cable and tighten down to secure in place. Tighten to 12 +/- 3 N-m.
7. Use (1) 7K-1181 Tie Strap to secure the ladder clip against the cable.
