Turn over housing assembly (23) . Place the housing onto suitable blocking.
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to install housing assembly (23) into housing (24) . The weight of housing (23) and the components is approximately 133 kg (295 lb). The weight of housing assembly (24) and the components is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

Install bolts (22) into the housing assembly. Tighten bolts (22) to a torque of 60 7 N m (45 5 lb ft).

Install ring (21) to shaft (16) .

Raise the temperature of carrier (19) and bearing (18) to a temperature of 149 °C (300 °F).
Install the seal carrier and the bearing onto shaft (16) .
Install rings (20) onto carrier (19) .
Install rotor (17) to shaft (16) .

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to install shaft (16) into the torque converter.

Install O-ring seal (15) on stator carrier (14) .

Install lip seal (13) in retainer (12) .

Install the gasket and retainer (12) .
Install bolts (11) . Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 60 7 N m (45 5 lb ft).

Install O-ring seal (10) into yoke (8) .Note: Apply Tooling (E) to the O-ring seal in order to hold the O-ring seal in place during assembly.

Install yoke (8) and retainer (9) .
Install bolt (7) onto shaft (16) . Tighten bolt (7) to a torque of 240 25 N m (175 20 lb ft).

Install dowel pins (6) into housing assembly (3) .
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to install housing assembly (3) onto the torque converter assembly. The weight of housing assembly (3) is approximately 127 kg (280 lb).

Install bolts (5) in the housing assembly.

Install O-ring seals (4) in housing (1) .Note: Apply Tooling (E) on the O-ring seals in order to hold the O-ring seals in place during the assembly.

Install housing (1) onto housing assembly (3) .
Install bolts (2) .End By: Install the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter - Install".
