BUSHING-THRUST 2990221 - Caterpillar

ACTION REQUIRED
1. Remove the aftercooler. Refer to UENR3283, "Aftercooler - Remove and Install".
The outlet plenum may have to be removed to allow for additional clearance to accommodate removal.
2. Disassemble the inlet plenum of the aftercooler.
3. Clean mating surfaces and install new 274-7689 Gasket.
Loctite 243 must be applied to the bolts for steps 4 and 5.
4. Install the 36 Bolts (8T-4172) and 36 Spacers (439-4789) in locations 1, 4-8, 11-15, 17-26, 29-37, 40-45.
5. Install the twelve 8T-4186 Bolts and twelve 091-0081 Spacers in locations 2-3, 9-10, 16, 27-28, 38-39, 46-48.
6. Tighten the bolts to 65 Nm.
7. Tighten the bolts again to 65 Nm.
