Use this procedure to troubleshoot if any of the following event codes are active or logged.

Engine Fuel Valve #1 Inlet Absolute Pressure : High - least severe (1) The pressure provided to the fuel metering valve is higher than the trip point and the delay time has expired.
The alarm output is activated.

Troubleshooting Test Steps Values Results
1. Check for Codes
A. Connect Cat® Electronic Technician (ET) to the service tool connector.
B. Look for active codes that are associated with the system for the event code.
Codes
Result: An associated code is active.
Repair: Troubleshoot any associated codes before continuing with this test.
Result: A 1390-15 code is active or logged.
Proceed to Test Step 2.
2. Monitor the Pressure Provided to the Fuel Metering Valve
A. Monitor the "Engine Fuel Valve #1 Inlet Absolute Pressure" parameter via Cat ET.
Pressure
Result: The pressure supplied to the valve is NOT within specification.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
3. Adjust the Regulator
A. Adjust the gas pressure regulator to achieve the correct pressure.
Pressure
Result: The correct pressure is NOT achieved.
Repair: Repair the regulator or replace the regulator.
Result: The correct pressure is achieved.
