Refer to the procedure that corresponds to the operator error code that is being shown on the ECM display. P01 Error Code - No Automatic OperationThis operator error is recorded when the conveyor ECM determines that the propel ECM is not in a paving condition.The possible causes of this error code are:
The propel lever is not in FORWARD
The propel switch is not in PAVE. For the AP1000B and the BG260C, the propel switch is not in LOW.
The propel speed dial is at the MINIMUM position.
There are active propel ECM diagnostic codes involving the propel lever, the propel switch, the propel speed dial, or the propel Cat Data Link.
The propel ECM or the conveyor ECM is faulty. This is unlikely.System Response:The results of this error code are:
The augers and the conveyors will not run in the AUTO mode.Note: Ensure that "PO1" error code is active and that the conveyor diagnostic code lamp is ON.Test Step 1. Check Operator Settings
Turn the key start switch ON.
Move the propel switch to the PAVE position. (NOT in LOW for the AP1000B and the BG260C.
Move the propel lever to the FORWARD position.
Turn the propel speed dial to a position other than MINIMUM.
Check to see if the P01 error code is still present.Expected Result:The P01 error code is not present.Results:
OK - The P01 operator error is not present. The system is working properly. Stop.
Not OK - The P01 error code is still present. Proceed to Test Step 2.Test Step 2. Check Conveyor ECM For Diagnostic Codes.
Access service mode 1 on the conveyor ECM. Refer to the "Accessing Diagnostic Information" module in this manual.
Check to see if a CID 248 FMI F11 diagnostic code is active.Expected Result:A CID 248 FMI F11 diagnostic code is active.Results:
OK - A CID 248 FMI F11 diagnostic code is active.Repair: Perform the troubleshooting procedure that is listed for the active diagnostic code in the troubleshooting section of this manual. Stop.
NOT OK - A CID 248 FMI F11 diagnostic code is not active. Proceed to Test Step 3.Test Step 3. Check Propel ECM For Service Codes
Access service mode 1 on the propel ECM. Refer to the Service Manual, Propel Electronic Control System, "Accessing Diagnostic Information".
On the propel ECM, check to see if a diagnostic code is active for one of the following components:
Propel lever
Propel switch
Propel speed dial
Cat Data Link Expected Result:A diagnostic code for a component in the preceding list is active.Results:
OK - A diagnostic code for a component in the preceding list is active.Repair: Refer to the Service Manual, Propel Electronic Control System, "Diagnostic Code Procedures". Perform the procedure for the active diagnostic code of the component. Stop.
NOT OK - A diagnostic code for a component in the preceding list is not active.Repair: It is unlikely that the ECM has failed. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. Refer to
