Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Put identification on wires for installation purposes. Remove wires (2) and (3) from alternator (1).

Loosen the nuts on adjustment rod (4).
Loosen bolts (6). Push the top of the alternator toward the cylinder block. Remove the V-belt .
Remove bolts (5) and (6). Remove alternator (1). Installation Procedure

Put alternator (1) in position on the alternator bracket and install bolts (6).
Put adjustment rod (4) in position on the alternator and install bolt (5).
Install V-belt (7). Tighten the V-belt. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Belt Tension Chart".

Install wires (2) and (3). Tighten the nut for wire (2) to a torque of 2.25 .25 N m (20 2 lb in). Tighten the nut for wire (3) to a torque of 6.2 0.2 N m (55 2 lb in).
