Remove the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".
Remove the radiator fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install".
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Loosen screw (2). Disconnect harness assembly (1). Disconnect hose assembly (3).

Remove nuts (4) and (5). Disconnect harness assemblies (6) and (7).

Remove bolts (8). Disconnect harness assemblies (9) and (11). Disconnect hose assembly (10). Loosen the clamps on each end of tube (12). Remove tube (12).
