Avoid spilling fuel.Fuel expands when the fuel is warmed up. The fuel may overflow from the fuel tank. Inspect fuel lines for leaks. Repair the fuel lines, as needed.
Be aware of the properties of the different fuels. Use only the recommended fuels.
Avoid unnecessary idling.Shut off the engine rather than idle for long periods of time.
Observe the service indicator frequently. Keep the air cleaner elements clean.
Ensure that the turbochargers are operating correctly so that the proper air/fuel ratio is maintained. Clean exhaust indicates proper functioning.
Maintain a good electrical system.One defective battery cell will overwork the alternator. This condition will cause excess power and fuel consumption.

Operating the generator at or above 30 percent generator load factor will allow the generator to reach maximum substitution levels for a given fuel quality.
As a rule, the higher the Cat Methane number of the gaseous fuel, the greater the possible substitution.
Maintaining a consistent supply of gas at the prescribed gaseous fuel supply pressures and flow rates will allow for maximum uptime in blending mode.For additional information, refer to the Application and Installation Guide, LEBW0018, "Dynamic Gas Blending".
