Aligning Track Roller Frame With Sprocket
1. When installing track roller frame (6), the center of track rollers should be centered with drive sprocket (8). The track should lead straight off of rear roller (5) onto drive sprocket and not rub against either sides of sprocket or rims of track roller.2. Center drive sprocket (8) in recess of rear track roller (5) so spaces (10) and (12) are equal.3. When this is properly adjusted, check diagonal brace (13) to see there is clearance at (14) and (15) in recess in steering clutch case (16).4. Adjustment can be made by removing cap (1) from outer bearing assembly (4) and taking off lock (7), nut (2) and retainer (9).5. Add shims (3) between retainer (9) and holder assembly (11) to move roller frame away from tractor. This decreases clearance (12) at roller and at diagonal brace (14) and increases clearance at (10) and (15).6. Remove shims (3) to allow roller frame to move closer to tractor. This decreases clearance at (10) and (15) and increases clearance at (12) and (14).

Use shims (1) and (2) as required to align the front idler with the track rollers within .06 in. (1,52 mm). Use shims as required to limit clearance (A) and (B) to .06 in. (1,52 mm) on each side of the idler.Adjusting Track
CHECKING THE TRACK ADJUSTMENT
A-1" to 1 1/2" (25-38 mm) sag at this point.Operate the tracks without excessive tension to minimize wear. When properly adjusted there should be 1" to 1 1/2" sag measured at a point half way between the track carrier roller and front idler as shown at (A).Hydraulic Adjusting Type
To bleed the air from the hydraulic track adjusting mechanism and to assure complete filling of the lubricant compartment, follow this procedure:1. Remove the guard from over the track adjusting mechanism.2. With relief valve (1) opened one turn counterclockwise, force SAE 30 lubricating oil through fill valve (3).3. When the oil flowing out vent hole (2) from the opened relief valve (1) no longer contains air bubbles, close the relief valve and continue filling with lubricating oil until the track has 1" to 1 1/2" sag.4. Operate the machine backward and forward to equalize the adjustment. Recheck adjustment.
1-Relief valve. 2-Vent hole. 3-Fill valve. Tighten valves (1) and (3) to 20-30 lb. ft. (2,8-4,1 mkg).5. Make subsequent track adjustment by forcing ball and roller bearing lubricant into fill valve (3) with grease gun until the track has the required s sag.6. Operate the machine backward and forward to equalize the adjustment. Recheck adjustment.
Do not attempt to make track adjustment if the distance (B) between the front face of the recoil spring pilot and rear face of the track adjusting cylinder flange is more than 5.1 in. (130,0 mm). If distance (B) exceeds this amount, either turn
