The gasket and O-ring seal are not interchangeable. If a gasket was removed, a gasket must be installed during assembly. If O-ring seals were removed, O-ring seals must be installed during assembly.1. Install the gasket or O-ring seals if removed. 2. Install the shortest bolt (4) in the valve. Put the main control valve in position on the manifold, and install the different length bolts (1, 2, 3, 4). Start By:a. remove main control valve 1. Use a screwdriver and a wooden block to remove charge pressure check valve (3).2. Remove orifice plugs from holes (1) and (2). 3. Remove ring (8), stop (7), spring (6) and plunger (5) from the valve (4). Remove O-ring seal (9) from valve (4). 4. A 3/32 x 1 3/4 in. (44.45 mm) long cotter pin as shown is used to remove quick response valve (10).5. Remove plug (11), the spring and filter relief valve. 6. Remove retaining ring (15), washer (14), spring (17) and spool (13) from quick response valve body (12). Remove O-ring seals (16) from the quick response valve body. 7. Remove servo relief valve (18).8. Remove plug (19).9. Remove plug (20) and the spacer for the venturi. 10. Engage Tooling (A) in the two holes in venturi (21). Use Tooling (A) to remove venturi (21). Remove the O-ring seals from the venturi. 11. Remove spring (22). Remove lever (23) from the speed brake control stem.12. Remove underspeed cut-in adjustment screw (24) and the stem. 13. To disassemble the underspeed cut-in adjustment screw, remove nut (25), the lock and nut (26) from screw (27). Remove the O-ring seal from screw (27). 14. Remove key (28) from the speed-brake control stem.15. Remove bolts (30) and cover (29). Remove the O-ring seals and the lip-type seal from the cover. 16. Remove speed-brake control stem (33), guide (31) and the shim from the valve.17. Remove spring (32) and the operate vent spool from the valve. 18. Remove adapter (34).
Cover (35) is under spring tension. Injury can be the result if the spring tension is not released gradually. To prevent injury, follow the procedure in Step 19.
19. Remove the outer bolts from cover (35). Install two 5/16" - 18
