The following fuel system-related changes have been made to the diagnostic service tests for the C9.3 Engines listed above when using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) 2011C. These changes will provide more accurate results for the systems and the components being tested.
The "Injector Fuel Delivery Test" has been removed from Cat ET.
The "Cylinder Cutout Test" has been improved to provide more accurate results when running the automatic version of the test. The "Inconclusive" results have been eliminated. Only an "OK" or a "NOT OK" result will be presented.
A pre-test has been added to the "Fuel System Functional Test". This change will allow the common rail fuel pump to get to the proper operating temperature prior to running the main portion of the test. This change will provide more accurate results.
