Remove the counterbalance valve (travel).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove plugs (1), the springs, and the valves.
Remove plugs (2) and (5).
Remove plug (6) and the orifice. Repeat for the opposite side.
Remove relief valves (7).
Remove two of bolts (3). Install Tooling (A ) into the bolt holes evenly in order to relieve spring pressure. Remove the remaining bolts (3). Remove Tooling (A) and cover (4). Repeat for the remaining cover.

Remove spring (10), washer (9), and spool (8). Remove O-ring seal (11).
Disassemble relief valves (7) in the following manner:

Remove backup ring (12), O-ring seal (13), and backup ring (14).
Remove backup ring (15), O-ring seal (16), and backup ring (17).
Remove O-ring seal (18) and backup ring (19).
Loosen nut (24) and remove screw (20) from body (23).
Remove O-ring seal (21) and backup ring (22) from screw (20).
