BUSHING 5N4403 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect brake lines (1) from the junction block. Remove the bolt that holds junction block (2) to the tandem drive housing. 2. Remove ten bolts (3) that hold bearing cage (4) to the tandem drive housing. Install two 1/2"-20 NF forcing screws and remove bearing cage (4). Remove the O-ring seal from the bearing cage.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE3. Fasten a hoist (not shown) to the tandem drive housing. Remove eighteen nuts (5) and washer that hold the tandem drive housing to the axle housing. 4. Remove tandem drive housing (6). The weight is approximately 1400 lb. (630 kg).Install Tandem Drive Housings
1. Fasten a hoist to tandem drive housing (1) and put in position on the axle housing.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Install eighteen washers and nuts (2) that hold the tandem drive to the axle housing. 3. Install a new O-ring seal on bearing cage (3). Install bearing cage (3) on the tandem drive housing. Install the bolts that hold the bearing cage to the tandem drive housing. 4. Install junction block (4) to the tandem drive housing.
