ACTION REQUIRED
Remove the tracks and track roller frame in order to gain access to the 8G-2943 Pivot Shaft Seal. Remove the seal. Add a 3mm 380-6707 Ring on the pivot shaft and install new 282-0946 Bolts with a higher torque. Refer to the Rework Procedure.

An additional 2 hour job per track roller frame is added in order to replace bearings if they are damaged.

Rework Procedure
1. Remove the tracks and the track roller frame in order to gain access to the pivot shaft. Refer to Image1.1.1.

2. Measure dimension A between the end of the pivot shaft and the ring. Refer to Image1.2.1.
- If dimension A is greater than 291mm, a 3mm 380-6707 Ring needs to be added in order to improve the seal compression. Refer to Image1.2.2.
- If A is less than or equal to 291mm, adding a ring is not required.

3. Change the 8G-2943 Seal on the pivot shaft.
4. Inspect the bearings on the track roller frame.
- If the combined wear of the shaft and the bearing exceeds 2.54mm (0.100 inch), replace the bearings and glue them with LOCTITE 603. Refer to Image1.3.1. When removing the bearings, be very cautious to not damage the bores. It is recommended that you weld inside the bearing to brake it for the removal. Refer to Image1.3.2.

- If the bearings are damaged or cracked, they will need to be replaced. Glue the new bearings with LOCTITE 603.
5. Assemble the track roller frame. Install three new 282-0946 Bolts with thread lock on the pivot shaft. Torque the bolts to a high torque of 570 N.m +/- 80 N.m. Refer to Image1.5.1.

6. Finish re-assembling the track roller frame and add oil.
7. Assemble the tracks.
